A few times in my life I have had a “Holy Smoke” moment in my life…this is one of them…I was in the states for a seminar recently (what a shock) and read through the latest Muscular Development magazine at the airport and found this article by Rick Collins about the SWIS Nutrition Panel – Supplements and Steroids – The Myths, Misconceptions and the Truth…And it just hit me what I put together and the magnitude of it…sometimes we just get so focused on putting things together and make sure it all runs well that you don’t take a step back and see what you created…this article made me step back and be grateful for all the presenters who showed up to the presentation and were as transparent and authentic as possible…Thank you.

The Goals of the Meetup is fourfold.
First is to meet other health and fitness professionals and create referral systems. Meaning you can refer your clients to individuals that you have personally met and you know, like and trust them. You will also get a chance to describe what you do to other SWIS Mastermind Members to also receive referrals.
The second goal is to gather input from SWIS Mastermind Members to help create a new Health and Fitness field called Weight-Training Sports Medicine. I personally want to know what the industry needs in the area of the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of weight training injuries. This is the purpose of SWIS. This will also extend in getting input from SWIS Mastermind Members on help creating SWIS 2018 and what you think it should look like and how it can be improved.
The third goal is helping individuals like myself and others to write and produce books and videos that will help educate people in the industry. The more good information we have out there, the better it is for everyone. So if you always wanted to write a book or do a video, we can help you with that.
The final goal is to share information that we have learnt through seminars, books and videos that has made a large impact on our clients and practices. We can all grow through everyone else’s knowledge and experience and raise our own abilities.
The meetup is open to personal trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, nutritionists, bodybuilders, powerlifters, olympic lifters, crossfit athletes, chiropractors, physiotherapists, medical doctors, osteopaths, athletic trainers, massage therapists…pretty much anyone who is a weight training athlete, health professional or fitness professional.
The first meeting is on Friday March 24 7:30pm at the clinic I am practicing at called the Health First Group Clinic. The address is 6981 Millcreek Drive, Mississauga, Ontario, L5N 6B8. There will be a number of people there coming in from the UK and US for the SWIS Exercise Muscle Testing Certification Seminar, so it will be alot of fun.
