SWIS Nutrition Panel – Supplements and Steroids – Myths, Misconceptions and the Truth

April 20, 2017 by Dr. Ken Kinakin Leave a Comment

A few times in my life I have had a “Holy Smoke” moment in my life…this is one of them…I was in the states for a seminar recently (what a shock) and read through the latest Muscular Development magazine at the airport and found this article by Rick Collins about the SWIS Nutrition Panel – Supplements and Steroids – The Myths, Misconceptions and the Truth…And it just hit me what I put together and the magnitude of it…sometimes we just get so focused on putting things together and make sure it all runs well that you don’t take a step back and see what you created…this article made me step back and be grateful for all the presenters who showed up to the presentation and were as transparent and authentic as possible…Thank you.md front cover steroidsMD steroid article

Did another article for Muscle Insider on Squat Injury Treatments. It is one of my better ones because I am able to discuss exercise injuries and treatment, which is what SWIS is all about. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it.

Muscle Insider Blood Pressure Article

March 15, 2016 by Dr. Ken Kinakin Leave a Comment

Here is an article I wrote for muscle insider last fall on blood pressure. The article reviews what is blood pressure, what is normal and what is abnormal. I discuss the accuracy of home blood pressure units and how to make sure it is accurate. I also talk about the highest blood pressure ever recorded, 480/350 (normal is 120/80), when doing a max leg press.Muscle insider blood pressure1
